Settling In

We've had so much fun getting settled in with Hayes.  She is such a good baby so far - a dream, really.  We've struggled a little with a tummy ache that seems to come in the evenings but we're hopeful that it's short-lived. 

She is already on a great schedule - she eats every three hours, has about 30 minutes of awake time (where she stares at us like we are the greatest thing on Earth) and then sleeps for the remaining 2 hours when the whole process starts again.  

We are so madly in love.  We constantly stare at her and comment on how perfect she is or how beautiful she is (don't we sound just like bumbling new parents?!?!).  She really is an amazing gift and one we're definitely keeping!

Some friends brought us a bag full of pink, girly items while we were in the hospital.  Included in the bag were these outrageously cute pink sunglasses.  I put them on her and then laughed so hard I ended up in tears from the pain!  She cracks me up.  

One thing we've worried about during the entire pregnancy was how Huck & Boogie would take to having a little one in the house.  So far, so good.  They are reacting just as we thought they would - - Boogie seems to love her already and is constantly trying to see her and (if allowed to get that close) kiss her.  Huck - - - well, he's Huck.  He barks each time she cries & is only interested in her for her toy potential (and I think he thinks she might be packing some cookies).
